dr hab. prof. SGH Katarzyna Sobiech-Grabka
Project Manager
She is an associate professor and the head of the Family Business Department at the Institute of Entrepreneurship at the Warsaw School of Economics. Combining her expertise in science and economic practice, she manages postgraduate studies in public–private partnerships (PPPs) and holds a PM² management certificate from the European Commission.
She is a member of the team responsible for prestigious international university accreditations (AACSB, EQUIS, BGA) and BSIS Impact certification, which guarantees the highest global standards of education. She is a lecturer at seminars and courses for institutions such as the European Investment Bank (EIB) and PARP.
Her unique research profile focuses on intergenerational responsibility, energy transition and sustainable urban development. She approaches these topics from the following perspective:
- Member of the Forecast Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN);
- Member of the Council of the Intercollegiate Centre for Research on Families and Generations (Families and Generations Lab).
She is also an expert and social activist. She sits on the supervisory board of an innovative renewable energy company on a pro bono basis and actively supports the development of local educational institutions. She is the author of dozens of publications and expert reports on innovation in public services, PPP and sustainable development. She gained professional experience as director of the PPP project office at a consulting firm and as vice-president of the Public-Private Partnership Centre Foundation.
She took part in teaching and research visits at Sheffield Hallam University (UK), the University of Barcelona (SPain), and the American University in Cairo (Egypt).
In her personal life, she is passionate about cross-country skiing, mountain hiking, reading good books accompanied by music and photography, through which she tries to 'capture emotions in the frame'. She dreams of returning to Bornholm for a cycling trip.
dr hab. inż. prof. SGH Anna Stankowska
Deputy Project Manager
Anna Stankowska is an economist and energy scientist, and a professor at the Institute of Enterprise in the College of Business Administration at the Warsaw School of Economics. Her research focuses on sustainability, energy, and the use of AI tools in enterprises. She is an expert at the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), the National Center for Research and Development (NCBiR), and a member of the EQUiS, BSiS, AACSB, and BGA accreditation teams.
dr hab. prof. SGH Marzena Fryczyńska
Marzena Fryczyńska is an Associate Professor at the Collegium of Business Administration, SGH Warsaw School of Economics. She serves as Chair of the Committee for the Managerial Curriculum in master’s studies and as Program Director of the Postgraduate Studies in Human Capital Management at SGH.
The main goal of her work is to support others in building and sustaining better workplaces. Her research and professional interests focus on human capital management, with particular emphasis on competency assessment and development, career management, networking, and leadership. She has been developing the concept and application of sustainable work to enhance employability.
She is a researcher, project leader, and author of monographs and articles in scientific journals. Her international academic experience includes research and teaching visits abroad, including extended scholarships at Northeastern Illinois University (USA) and Kyungpook National University (South Korea). She is a member of the European Academy of Management and LeverAge Cost Action. She regularly presents her work at academic conferences. As a lecturer, she aims to inspire students to continuously seek knowledge and to equip them with the skills needed for meaningful and effective work. She teaches international student groups in Poland and abroad.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking at her own pace, appreciating landscapes, and contemplating art in museums and galleries.
dr hab. prof. SGH Marcin Wojtysiak-Kotlarski
dr Maria Pietrzak
PhD holder and associate professor at the Institute of Management, actively engaged in UN PRME initiatives related to teaching and aimed at enhancing educational effectiveness and promoting the principles of responsible leadership. She is passionate about projects that seek to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities, particularly through supporting talent development, facilitating the implementation of interdisciplinary knowledge, and fostering critical thinking. She is deeply fascinated by the mindful experience of everyday life. She finds great joy in cycling, reading, solving jigsaw puzzles, playing board games, and spending time with her family.
dr Iryna Degtyarova
Dr. Iryna Degtyarova holds PhD degree from SGH on Social Sciences in the field of political science and public administration. She specializes in the research into higher education and research system, governance, and knowledge-sector policy in Ukraine, Poland, and Europe. She is an expert on research integrity, research careers, international cooperation and in Polish-Ukrainian academic relations. She serves as the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with Ukrainian Universities at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and works as an Assistant Professor at the Education and Science Policy Unit in the Collegium of Socio-Economics at SGH.

dr hab. prof. SGH Alina Szypulewska-Porczyńska
A double graduate in foreign trade from universities in Warsaw and Paris. She holds a PhD and a habilitation in economic sciences. She is a Professor at SGH Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw, where, as a researcher and lecturer, she specialises in sustainable finance.
A recent swimming enthusiast and a lifelong enthusiast for life. She enjoys meeting people.
Her thoughts on her role in this project:
Achieving ESG leadership is not difficult. Few organisations choose to address ESG issues voluntarily; the EU’s mandatory measures demonstrate this clearly. Moreover, many still do not understand sustainability. If they did, ESG would be as natural as a heartbeat, and there would be no need for this part of the workshop;)

dr hab. prof. SGH Mikołaj Pindelski
dr hab. Łukasz Kurowski
Dr hab. Łukasz Kurowski is an expert in banking, financial stability, and climate risk, with additional research interests in climate and financial education. For nearly a decade, he combined academic work with professional experience in the private sector, including positions at the National Bank of Poland, Citibank, and ING Bank Śląski. He is the author of over 30 scientific publications, primarily published in leading international journals such as the Journal of Financial Stability, Climate Policy, Weather and Climate Extremes, and the Journal of Cleaner Production. He has presented his research at prestigious international academic conferences, including events held in Oxford, Milan, Naples, and Montpellier. In 2024, he completed a research stay at the University of Iceland, focusing on climate risk and financial stability. In recognition of his scientific achievements, he has received the START scholarship from the Foundation for Polish Science for outstanding young researchers, best paper awards, individual scientific awards from the Rector of SGH, and a prize from the Polish Association of Finance and Banking for best conference presentation. He is actively involved in the dissemination of financial and climate knowledge, supporting climate and financial education among secondary school students and teachers. Since 2025, he has been professionally affiliated with the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw. He is involved in teaching courses such as sustainable finance, strategic management in the context of climate change, banking, bank management, and personal finance management.
Within the project, Dr hab. Łukasz Kurowski will participate in the development of a simulation game, which constitutes a key component of the educational program. The game will focus on managing an innovative enterprise under sustainability-related requirements, with particular emphasis on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects.
dr Anna Masłoń-Oracz
Dr Anna Masłoń-Oracz is a senior researcher and international strategy expert with over twenty years of experience in Europe, CEE and Africa. She serves as UNESCO Chair on Creative Industries in Developing Countries and is an expert to UNESCO on the 2005 Convention on Cultural Diversity. At SGH Warsaw School of Economics, she is the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Africa and an Adjunct Professor.
dr Joanna Stryjek
Joanna Stryjek is an assistant professor at the Institute of International Studies at SGH Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Poland. She has degrees in: Political Science (Bachelor’s, Uppsala University, Sweden); Economic and Political International Relations (Master’s, double diploma – SGH and Sciences-Po Paris); Finance and Banking (Master’s, SGH); Economics (PhD, SGH). She specialises in creative thinking and problem-solving techniques, innovation policy, national innovation systems, start-up ecosystems, and the economic, political, and security aspects of air pollution.
Joanna Stryjek has been a lecturer at SGH since 2012. She has participated in educational and research projects funded by the European Commission, the National Bank of Poland, the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the National Agency for Academic Exchange. From 2016 to 2020, she was Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Studies at SGH. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, experiencing other cultures, and dancing tango.

José Carlos García-Rosell
José-Carlos García-Rosell is a Professor of Business Ethics at Oulu Business School, University of Oulu, Finland. He is also a visiting professor at the Aalto University, School of Business and University of Lapland, Finland, and holds Associate Professorships in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in tourism at Tampere University, Finland, and the University of Maribor, Slovenia. He works in the domains of business ethics, CSR, and responsible management education. Taking a pragmatic approach, he explores conceptual frameworks and methodologies that help work towards more responsible business practices. His current research agenda is centered on four interconnected areas: responsible tourism business, human-animal relations in organizations, non-human stakeholders, and experiential learning.. His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Management Learning, and Tourism Geographies. He currently serves as Chair of the European Business Ethics Network (EBEN) Finland and is a member of the jury for the Green Key and Green Activities sustainability certifications.
Aurora Díaz Soloaga
Aurora Díaz-Soloaga is Senior Lecturer at the School of Management at AlmaU (Kazakhstan), where she teaches Leadership, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Global Management. She was awarded CEEMAN Teacher of the Year 2022 in recognition of her innovative, student-centred and impact-oriented approach to management education.
Her academic and professional work focuses on Responsible Management Education, ESG, business ethics, and stakeholder communication, with particular attention to Emerging Market Economies. Aurora is actively involved in international educational networks linked to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) of the UN Global Compact, where she contributes to pedagogical innovation and faculty development, and she serves as SDSN focal point at AlmaU.
With more than a decade of experience mentoring and evaluating social impact and sustainability-driven projects, Aurora brings a strong practice-based perspective to ESG, connecting global frameworks with real organizational and societal challenges. She regularly collaborates with universities and institutions across Europe, Asia and the Americas, and has delivered lectures and workshops in diverse international contexts.

Mridula Gungaphul
Mridula Gungaphul is Associate Professor in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing in the Department of Management, Faculty of Law and Management at the University of Mauritius. She joined academia in 2000 as lecturer and was promoted to Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor. She graduated from Middlesex University, UK with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and Marketing as well as a Master’s in Business Administration. Mridula holds a Ph.D. in Management, specialization in Entrepreneurship from the University of Mauritius. Her areas of teaching and research include Strategic Marketing Management; Services Marketing; Marketing Management; Digital Marketing; Entrepreneurial Marketing, Gender in Entrepreneurship, Management among others. She also supervises dissertations at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. She has previously served as Head of Department and has been a member of the Senate at the University of Mauritius. She currently sits on various committees at the University. She has published extensively as author and co-author in international peer-reviewed journals. Mridula has also presented her research in various local and international conferences. She is involved in internally and externally funded research projects and currently forms part of a European Union funded project, involving more than 30 universities across Europe and Africa. Mridula is also a co-author of two book chapters published by Edward Elgar Publishing. Mridula is often solicited to conduct training and capacity building programmes by support institutions and educational institutions targeting NGOs, women entrepreneurs and students mainly in the fields of Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Mridula was sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India to participate in a two months programme on Entrepreneurship for Small Business Trainers/Promoters at the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, Noida, India in 2014. In 2022 and 2023, she acted as local coordinator and supervisor to 15 female University of Mauritius students selected to participate in the Business Lead Programme, sponsored by the Polish Government for the promotion of female entrepreneurship at the SGH School of Economics, Warsaw, Poland. She is currently part of a team of selection and evaluation committee for screening of applications and evaluating project potential for students in higher education who wish to gain the national status of student entrepreneur in Mauritius - an initiative of the Government of Mauritius. Mridula remains actively involved in Marketing and Entrepreneurship related activities to promote an entrepreneurial culture among students and the public in general.
Nellie El Enany
Dr. Nellie El Enany is an Assistant Professor at the Onsi Sawiris School of Business, The American University in Cairo (AUC). She earned her PhD from Nottingham University Business School, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, and a Master of Science by Research in Innovative Manufacturing from Cranfield University, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). She is currently pursuing a Masters in Psychology with the University of Glasgow.
Her interdisciplinary research examines entrepreneurial identity, bottom of the pyramid entrepreneurship, inclusive pedagogy, and healthcare service delivery, with publications in Social Science & Medicine and Health Services and Delivery Research. She is known for her innovative teaching methods, including art and drama based learning, and student-produced podcasts, which have been featured by Harvard Business Publishing and Routledge. She has taught a range of courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Business Environment and Ethics, Decision Making for Sustainable Organizations, Corporate Social Responsibility, International Business, Global Leadership and HRM.
Dr. El Enany has presented her work at leading international forums such as the Academy of Management, the British Academy of Management, The African Academy of Management, and the Oxford Animal Ethics Summer School. Beyond academia, she works as a Rabies Community Coordinator with the Egyptian Veterinary Authority and has a community initiative sterilizing and treating free roaming animals. She also runs community initiatives with children that nurture sustainability awareness, entrepreneurial thinking and empathy for animals.
